Arguably Jamaica’s most luxurious hotel, the tiny Geejam is an exclusive hideaway with five private villas (plus two hilltop mansions for larger groups) and a loyal celebrity following (an on-site recording studio has lured the likes of John Legend and Rihanna). There's no spa or communal pool here, but Geejam is most appreciated for its other big lack: crowds. It’s not rare to spend days at the resort without encountering other guests, and while staff members are always present, they’re not obtrusive. The hotel’s ultra-private rooms feature minimalist decor with vibrant island accents and eclectic touches, like original Banksy wall murals or private hot tubs. Many travelers take advantage of Geejam’s in-room dining options, and take all three meals on their private terrace rather than at the communal Bushbar. Because of its renowned privacy and quiet atmosphere, Geejam is almost exclusively visited by couples.
